Data Retention
TrimEdge retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including account administration, support handling, quote and order records, invoicing, shipment records, documentation inquiries, security, fraud prevention, compliance review, tax records, legal obligations, dispute resolution, audit requirements, and policy enforcement.
Account records are retained for the active account period plus 7 years after account closure. Order, invoice, payment, tax, shipping, and fulfillment records are retained for 7 years after the transaction. Research Use Only acknowledgements, checkout attestations, compliance-review logs, and order-review records are retained for 7 years.
Support tickets and customer communications are retained for 3 years after resolution unless needed longer for legal, fraud, payment, or compliance reasons. Support attachments and payment-proof uploads are retained for 90 days after resolution unless needed for order review, fraud prevention, legal, tax, or compliance records.
Security, admin, login, and audit logs are retained for 2 years unless needed longer for fraud, legal, or compliance reasons. Browser analytics is disabled by default; if enabled later, analytics events are retained for no longer than 13 months unless counsel approves otherwise. Marketing opt-out and suppression records are retained as needed to honor opt-out requests.
When personal information is no longer needed, TrimEdge will delete, de-identify, aggregate, or archive it in accordance with applicable law and operational requirements.
Security
TrimEdge uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Safeguards may include access controls, authentication controls, encryption where appropriate, logging, vendor controls, account review, security monitoring, and operational procedures.
